Energy for Capricorn
Look what happened when we weren’t paying attention! 2012 sneaked up on us. I have a feeling of great anticipation in living through such an amazing shift in energy. It seems everything we have experienced so far in our existence has led us to this time and place. I, for one, am going to enjoy it as much as I’m able!
On December 22nd, we moved into the sign of Capricorn. Those in this sign are rather serious but do have an amazing sense of humor. This is sometimes a very dry wit in some people! Several stones are associated with this sign. The Ruby is a primary one as is the Garnet. Onyx is also listed as a major stone for you. All Onyx grounds to some degree but provides the structure and authority you crave. It provides support in difficult times and centers your energy in periods of mental and physical distress. Onyx may make your energy a little heavy and controlling but the Garnet or Ruby will lift your energy and infuse you with the lightness you require. The Garnet will empower with creativity. The Ruby is a higher vibration of the Garnet and aids in raising the kundalini energy. It is definitely a heart stone and makes this a marvelous access stone to the royalty of self. These red stones inspire love and devotion and would make great engagement rings!
Capricorn thinking really tends to be somewhat rigid. Galena, a stone that resonates with the ruling planet Saturn, opens your mind and encourages investigation and experimentation while Onyx gives you the gift of wise decisions. You tend to sabotage yourself subconsciously but the Garnet may prove helpful in letting go of obsolete ideas and ingrained behavior patterns that no longer serve you.
Your soul is on a journey of inner authority and power, desiring to live from your inner self. Black Obsidian will take you into the mystery of yourself, removing the illusions that prevent you from experiencing your true self. Capricorns are one of the strongest signs and can work easily with the Obsidian but for those who desire a more gentle way of moving through the illusions, try Snowflake Obsidian, Mahogany Obsidian or even Apache Tears. Apache Tears carry a much weaker energy but sometimes that’s a good place to start!
Some information in this column has been taken from the book “The Crystal Zodiac” by Judy Hall. This book contains lots of interesting material about the birthstones and even rituals for your birthday. Check it out!
And so, another year comes to an end. I wish all of you a wonder-full New Year, filled with prosperity, love, light and laughter.
