Important Stones for Virgos
Another month has passed and I’m wondering where it went! I find I’m having to pay great attention to dates and times to make appointments and schedule classes, etc. It seems I’m in a daze sometimes. But what a journey! I can’t say I’m ever bored.
On August 23rd, we moved into the sign of Virgo. Having Virgo as my ascendant, I really relate to this sign. The two most important stones for this sign are the Sardonyx and the Peridot. The Sardonyx is one of the stones found on the breastplate of Aaron, talked about in the bible. It represented one of the twelve tribes of Israel. It resonates to the qualities of integrity and virtuous conduct which makes it perfect for a Virgo who values these qualities. It is a strong and stable stone and supports your search for meaningful existence and assists in processing information. Supplementing your willpower, it strengthens your character, enhancing your self-control. It will also assist you in finding a stable relationship and attracting good friends. It works well in the spleen area for restoring emotional balance there. For one who is attempting to increase his or her prosperity, it might be worn in the navel or general area. It strengthens the lower body and draws out toxins, which in turn eases the heart.
The livelier Peridot supports your razor-sharp perception. This stone is great for a Virgo and everyone else at this time as it assists in letting go of habits that block your growth and encourages you to be kinder to yourself, essential in overcoming our tendency towards self-criticism. The cleansing action of Peridot releases negative patterns and moves you into a new stage of self-development, encouraging you to look to your own higher energies for guidance. Associated with the ascended master Kuthumi, this stone is about unconditional love. It bonds the will, truth and unconditional love.
As a Virgo, you seek perfection and set incredibly high goals for yourself and others. (I really recognize this influence in my chart! It is something I have worked on diligently to overcome.) The problem with perfection is that it doesn’t allow you to make mistakes but, with the help of Peridot, you can admit mistakes, accept them as a learning experience and move on.
Another stone that would benefit this sign is the Moss Agate. Being an intellectual sign, Virgos are happy to discuss and dissect their emotions but not actually feel the feelings. The Moss Agate puts you in touch with those feelings and enhances your ability to express what you feel from your heart rather than your mind. This stone also boosts your awareness of your positive qualities and helps you to accept your true worth. It is unveiling or creating a sense of freedom in areas that have long been limited, blocked or hidden. As the liberation occurs, this stone holds the entity in the body. It would keep the mind and the etheric energy grounded in the body for the presence of life.
If you would like additional information on the birthstones, the book ‘The Crystal Zodiac’ is a good place to begin.
